Hack Me is an Alexa Skill that checks if your email address has been involved in recent internet security breaches.
1. When you first launch the skill, you'll be asked to link it to your Amazon account.
2. Once linked, the skill retrieves your name & email address from Amazon's Profile API.
3. Next, the skill runs your email address against Troy Hunt's HaveIBeenPwned.com API to determine if your email has ever been involved in a security breach.
4. Finally, it'll tell you where and when using Alexa's TTS engine. That's it!
The whole point of this is to help you be more secure online. So no, we'll never intentionally share, leak, sell, or store your personal information.
And when you unlink or uninstall the Skill, we immediately lose access to your name and email.
